I know I know

I need to update. It has been so crazy around here! I am looking forward to summer in full swing.

A few weeks ago we took Alex, Carter, and Jadyn to the zoo. We had so much fun!!

Mother's Day

We had a great day on Sunday. Actually, we had a great weekend! On Friday evening we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Warrensburg. Jadyn loved seeing them again and is so excited they are home! 

Saturday we got up and went to the zoo. Then Saturday evening we visited with Aunt Kathy and Uncle Rod and then Greg took us girls for ice cream

Sunday afternoon we we went out to my parent's house. I remembered the camera, so most of our pictures are from that day. My Dad got a hold of the camera and took a few - he did a great job :) 

Uncle Kyle got out the 4 wheeler and took all the kids for rides. Jadyn loved it! She also loves her Uncle Kyle.

Jadyn and Uncle Kyle being silly. Jadyn wanted to eat her strawberry shortcake while on his lap. This makes my heart happy :) 

Jadyn got Aunt Lori to pull her around in the wagon. Several times...

I can't believe the kids are big enough to actually sit and eat at their own table. It doesn't seem possible!

Jadyn has also been in to dressing up lately. This is her "fairy dress" with her "glass slippers." We had to put it on as soon as she got up from her nap - thus the bedhead! 

I am very blessed to have some many wonderful people in my life!

Easter (Caution:: PICTURE HEAVY)

What a wonderful weekend of celebration! Jadyn has been saying "Happy Easter, He is Risen" for the last week or so. It has been fun to talk to her about the real meaning of Easter and have her grasp bits and pieces. We've had a lot of funny moments with her the past few weeks. She's becoming such a little girl! She loves to play Barbie and she LOVES the princesses!

For Easter we went to church and then came home until afternoon. Easter afternoon we went over to my folks house and had dinner, an Easter egg hunt, dyed eggs, and Jadyn got to do her new favorite things: feed Melvin (my Dad's dog) and Jake (the grandkids horse - although Jadyn thinks Jake is hers and she's happy to tell you).

Jadyn's Easter egg hunt was funny. She was so prissy carrying her basket around. She was the only one on the hunt this year so Daddy, Papa, and Uncle Ronnie basically just followed Jadyn around :)

A little Lady

Jadyn had her first pedicure. She went with Mommy and Nana and sat in the chair to get her toes painted. She was so excited and constantly puts her toes out for people to admire :) She picked her own color.

Tonight before Jadyn could go to bed we had to tuck her barbie dolls in bed; oh, and one of her babies too.

Jadyn's newest thing is "Mommy take my picture" - then when I take it she shuts her eyes because of the flash and laughs like a wild woman. She is so stinkin' cute!! I'm glad the camera takes fast pictures because I may never get a picture of her eyes again. Here are a few good ones :) 

About a year ago I found a little toddler mickey mouse lawn chair on sale so I bought it for Jadyn. She found it in the garage and takes it everywhere now. I was in the kitchen getting supper ready and when I came out I found this:

After I took the picture she got in trouble for being so close to the television.

Then a few days later (or maybe that night) I told her to go get in her bed. I wasn't too far behind her and I found this:

She reminds me so much of her Daddy when she does things like this. Her Uncle Kyle too :)

This last picture is for Grandma and Grandpa. Jadyn wanted me to take a picture of her with your postcards to show you :) She got another one today so I'm sure we will have to take another picture too. She LOVES getting them from you guys! When she gets it I read it to her and then she "reads" it back to me. It's so funny to hear the things she picks up on!!

Oops, I do have one more. Proof that sometimes - she does sleep! This was last Sunday when it was 90 out. Her bedroom is so stinkin  hot that we let her sleep on our bed.

Mommy, will you play with me?

Steps to follow:

1. Don't even try to ignore this face. It's not worth it. She is quite possibly the cutest thing.

2. Then we play with Woody - he's our favorite!

3. Followed by Buzz... Our favorite Buzz is a lego Buzz... :)

4. Then we sing some karaoke. Tonight's selection was Psalty the Singing Songbook, although it looks like she's rapping...

5. Then we ended our playtime with listening to our heartbeats. Dr. Jadyn likes to hear "bum bum, bum bum" when you listen to hearts. If you don't do it loud enough you get in trouble.

We had a good time.

A trip to Grandma and Grandpa's

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house. It's been a couple of months since we've seen them and Jadyn was SOOOOOO excited to see them again! Every morning leading up to our trip she would say "go to Grandma and Grandpa's today?" It was very sweet. Anyway, we got in on Thursday night and then got to start playing on Friday.

Jadyn's first dip in the pool was a cold one and it wasn't her favorite right away.

We got to do a lot of baking with Grandma. Greg made Joey's birthday cake and then he also made chocolate chip cookies. Jadyn and Grandma put the cookies on the pan and then ate them warm... Jadyn loved the warm cookies. :)

Sunday Greg Daniel Joey and I took off for Hoover Dam and Vegas. We had so much fun. We came home Monday evening.
