A Car Show

I know I know 2 posts in one week...amazing :)

Jadyn went to a car show with her Papa and Nana (are we all clear that that's my parents?) anyway I asked them once again to take pictures because I love having all the pics. They are hilarious. Mainly because even at a young age I'm not sure car shows will be Jadyn's favorite thing :) Daddy...just don't ever put SACKS ON HER HEAD TO KEEP HER DRY. She will never forget it. I'm sure she will always want to do things with her Papa and her Nana :)

I survived!

Yesterday was our 3 year wedding anniversary. Wow! Greg and I both decided that while yes, we can't believe it's been 3 years it also feels like it's been forever! We've been though so many different things that our relationship is stronger than I ever imagined it could be! We try to do something special for our anniversary but this year I was only willing to be gone 1 night because I wasn't sure how well I'd do without Jadyn! We went to Branson on Sunday night and came back Monday night. We had a great time. We went to Silver Dollar City, mini-golfing, nice dinner, nice hotel, and outlet shopping. It was a lot packed into two days. It was great though just to hang out together and have some fun. Oh, by the way we TIED at the mini-golf. It was unreal. I really wanted to beat him...

Jadyn stayed at her Nana and Papa's (my Mom and Daddy) house while we were gone. She was a good girl! She took good naps and slept through the night for them! My Mom was wonderful and sent lots of pictures and text updates for me so I got to stay well connected with my baby! I asked Mom to snap some pictures of Jadyn's first overnight for her baby book and I'm posting a few of my favorites!

She found Nana and Papa's Dvd collection...and immediately felt the need to get them out :)
She was a good eater for them :) That must be a prune mustache!

She woke up happy happy happy (which is typical but still exciting!)
And she was happy when we got back! This is one of my favorites! She is so stinking cute!!!
Anyway, I survived and I'm so thankful that she did well at Nana and Papa's house!

She's Moving!

Jadyn is now moving and she is fast :). We are frantically trying to move things around in the house to make things more safe for her. The other night she crawled up on Greg. I was so cute!
I went in to wake her up Yesterday and she had major bed head! She is so stinkin cute!!
Then this morning...
She found Greg's blu-rays. THANKFULLY she can't get them open... yet.


It has been very interesting around here! I'm even more tired now! It is funny though the things she likes to get into. She loves my flip flops but only my black pair. I have to wear them around the house because if I don't she will find them and start licking them...it is so gross!! She also likes to lick the chair. It has a metal leg so I think she likes the coolness... She just cracks me up ! We love her so very very much!!

Baby cold

Little Miss Jadyn had a cold. Actually, I think she has allergies but the doctors keep saying she is too young for allergies. However, she gets a runny nose, leaky eyes, and a cough the same time I get itchy eyes and drainage... coincidence?

Yesterday we snuggled all day long. It was awesome! I loved every minute of it... I mean I'm not glad she was sick but I was happy to have her on my lap content. Today we are running around with my Mom (Nana) so I put her in this super cute outfit. My Dad will say it is "Risky" we all know what he means! I told Aunt Kathy I'd put up some pics so here they are!


We also have been letting her lick our ice cream cones...She loves them! Last night she was screaming if Greg didn't give her a lick fast enough...I know I know we need to get it under control but seriously she was so cute!

9 months old!

Jadyn is 9 months old today. I cannot believe it! It seems like time has gone swiftly by and yet it seems like she's been with us forever! She is absolutely precious and we could not be more thankful for this sweet little girl!

She still has no teeth - which I am totally okay with at this point. She doesn't crawl but scoots on her bottom everywhere she needs to go...she is very close to crawling though. She also stands while holding on to things. She started waving this week and gives high fives! We just think she is the cutest!

Swimming lessons are going well, last night she didn't cry at all when Greg dunked her! It was awesome!

We both are very aware of how incredibly blessed we are to have Jadyn in our life! She is truly a blessing from God!

Jadyn's first 4th of July (outside the womb)

Well...I'm a little bummed. I had the cutest 4th of July outfit for Jadyn to wear today, but because it was only 80 it just wasn't warm enough. She had an outfit for everyday this week that was red,white, and blue. I plan on putting her in her 4th outfit towards the end of next week when it's supposed to be in the 100's again. Here is a pic of one of her outfits...well shirts at least we are currently into not wearing pants around the house. WAIT I should clarify...Jadyn doesn't wear pants...the rest of us do :)
It was a beautiful night tonight. We had a great time with friends and family. It was fun watching Kyle and his boys, Greg and Jadyn, and Loribelle in the pool and hot tub. They all had a great time! After a delightful dinner, swimming, and homemade ice cream we sat around tables and chatted until Jadyn was practically asleep. We loaded her up and headed home. I'm hoping that the fireworks around here won't keep her (or me) up tonight.

What a great way to celebrate the freedom that we have in our country. We need to be thankful for those freedoms and we need to not grow complacent and let our current government take any of those away. What a shame it would be to take 2 steps back after so many men have fought to give us the life we lead today.

I would also like to take a moment to get a little bit mushy :). I am so thankful for a kind, caring, husband who wants what is best for our family. He protects both me and Jadyn everyday by standing up and doing what is right. He is a Godly man who works very hard to provide for us not just physically but mentally and emotionally as well. I don't tell him enough how proud I am of him and thankful that he loves me and our daughter more than anything! We are very blessed to have him in our lives!

Movin' out the furniture

Yesterday morning Jadyn woke up super early....again but I decided that we were NOT getting up. I went in her bedroom and tried to pat her back to get her sleepy again, but that wasn't working, so I swept her out of her crib and took her into my room. I put her in bed with me thinking that we would just lay for awhile before getting up; however, she went to sleep. It was the cutest! She was laying on her side facing me totally out. I ended up going back to sleep for awhile and when I woke up she hadn't moved! I tried to get out of bed to grab my camera but when I moved she moved and then woke up...so no super cutie pics :(

Yesterday evening I decided that she needed more play space so I had Greg and Kyle move the dining room table to the basement. She now has that whole little nook for her toys. It looks a little odd to me but it does give her more space. I took some pictures but decided I don't like the rug I bought so I'm going to return it and get a different one...when I do I will show you her new little room.

She is so much fun! She woke up this morning singing to herself. It was so sweet! I just stood at the door listening to her. Even right now she is playing in her pack-n-play just talking....so sweet!
