birthday girl

I can't believe she's 3.
I also can't believe that when she turns 4 she will have 2 younger siblings.
We had a wonderful 3rd birthday around here. We tried to take Jadyn to the zoo, but when we pulled in the parking lot she started crying and said "I want to go to the Disney store," so we did. :)
That night we had a birthday party  with lots of friends and family. She had so much fun and did a wonderful job opening presents and being excited!
We are so blessed to have her in our lives.

We brought Jadyn back a sleeping beauty jewelry box from Disney last summer and hid it until her birthday. She loves it!

We had cake balls instead of a big birthday cake.

This is her kitcen from Uncle Rod and Aunt Kathy. She loves it!

She calls Uncle Kyle a lot on her "phone" and invites him over for supper!

So polite! She said thank you after every present. Made Mama proud!

We let the kids decorate pumpkins. Jadyn's is still on our front porch.

My sweet big birthday girl! She will always be Daddy's princess and Mommy's monkey! We love you  bunches!

Jadyn has started dance! We've had to practices. The first one was not great. She screamed through the entire thing, but the second one was much much better! I did have to bribe a little but nothing major :)

Whoops!

I can't believe it's been over a month! We've had a busy time since I last posted. School has started for all 3 of us. We found out we are pregnant. Then we found out it's twins. I've had some nasty "all day" sickness and then a sinus infection. Anyway, here are some pictures of little missy!

She wasn't too excited to take her first day of school pictures this year... or maybe it was too early in the morning. Either way she's not the happiest camper in the world.

We had Alex's bday party. Jadyn and Carter had a good time.... with the twizzlers. :)

Hopefully we will settle into more a routine and I can take 1000's of pictures of my sweet girl again!

Outside

After weather that was too hot to enjoy it's finally cooled off a little here. Although, it's still funny to me that we are calling 89 cool! :) Anyway, Alex and Carter came over to play last Saturday so we went outside for awhile. Don't mind Jadyn's crazy hair! :)

It's been fun to watch Jadyn get more and more comfortable in the water this summer. She loves to jump in from the side and then we hang on to her and make her kick to the side of the pool. She even has started sitting on the bench in the shallow end (it's a big deal). :)

We went swimming last week in the evening after we had dinner with Papa. Here are a few pics:

PB & Jadyn

I am an avid reader of Real Simple magazine. I love it. I look forward to it each month. I keep it and then pass it along to a dear friend when I simple don't have any more room. Last month or the month before there was a recipe for homemade blueberry jelly. It claimed to be easy - no canning involved. I had some blueberries from the farmers market so I made some. When Jadyn asked for a snack later that day I gave her some peanut butter with the jelly I made. I told her it was special jelly  that I made just for her. She loved it! Now she asks for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with "my special jelly."
I need to get back down the the market for more blueberries so I can make more to freeze.
It's been awhile since we've had to deal with messy faces - but I think this is worth it!
