Mommy, will you play with me?

Steps to follow:

1. Don't even try to ignore this face. It's not worth it. She is quite possibly the cutest thing.

2. Then we play with Woody - he's our favorite!

3. Followed by Buzz... Our favorite Buzz is a lego Buzz... :)

4. Then we sing some karaoke. Tonight's selection was Psalty the Singing Songbook, although it looks like she's rapping...

5. Then we ended our playtime with listening to our heartbeats. Dr. Jadyn likes to hear "bum bum, bum bum" when you listen to hearts. If you don't do it loud enough you get in trouble.

We had a good time.

A trip to Grandma and Grandpa's

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house. It's been a couple of months since we've seen them and Jadyn was SOOOOOO excited to see them again! Every morning leading up to our trip she would say "go to Grandma and Grandpa's today?" It was very sweet. Anyway, we got in on Thursday night and then got to start playing on Friday.

Jadyn's first dip in the pool was a cold one and it wasn't her favorite right away.

We got to do a lot of baking with Grandma. Greg made Joey's birthday cake and then he also made chocolate chip cookies. Jadyn and Grandma put the cookies on the pan and then ate them warm... Jadyn loved the warm cookies. :)

Sunday Greg Daniel Joey and I took off for Hoover Dam and Vegas. We had so much fun. We came home Monday evening.

How to eat a cupcake::

First you lick off the icing. Getting it on the nose makes it taste better. 

Next you squeeze it together for maximum icing retrieval. You also make sure to squish it in your teeth. 

After that it is imperative that you look long and hard for allllll of the icing...

Double check that it is on your nose, and in your teeth...

Go in for one last lick

And then put the cupcake back where you found it.

Snow Days

We haven't had many days of school since returning from Christmas break. I think this is just our 2nd whole week of school. The snow days have been a lot of fun - I can say that because I've had fewer than Greg. I do know that last week during the Blizzard I went back to school before Greg and by the 3rd day he was ready to switch places with me :) 

On that third day though he called Joey and Daniel and took Jadyn up to visit them. They had a great time playing all morning and capping it off with lunch. Greg had another snow day Yesterday  - this time he and Jadyn came and visited me while I was slaving away at work :)

Big chairs and big beds!

With all the craziness of the past few weeks with Jadyn's adventures it was so great to catch her in a quiet moment! A few weeks ago we got a new chair for the living room (ignore the mess all around it... I was cleaning out the bookcase and other things...) don't you just love it! Jadyn loves it. She can easily climb up in the chair and she sits there often to just "chill." She also at times scoots the chair closer to the window so she can look at it! 

We also had another huge milestone with little missy. Last Sunday she asked to play in her crib so I let her play in it while I cleaned up her room. Anyway, as I watched her "play" I also watched her CLIMB OUT OF THE CRIB! I yelled for Greg who came in and we asked Jadyn to do it again - and she promptly did. So Greg immediately converted the crib into the toddler bed. We have a big girl now. She has done pretty good in the bed. Bedtime goes better than naptime - but overall I think she's done a pretty good job! 

I did forget to mention that immediately after we put the bed together she jumped on the bed and split her lip. Now we sing "No More Monkeys" a LOT! :)

My sweet little petunia

Last week, Wednesday to be exact, my sweet little petunia pulled an "Uncle Kyle" one me. We were hanging out at home waiting for Daddy to get home for work. I was reading in the living room while Jadyn was running though the house. Our house is small - I can sit in the living room and hear everything and see almost everything. Jadyn kept running from the kitchen to her playroom and back. I peeked in a few times and things were great. Then she turned the corner and said:

Mommy, I make a mess!
I immediately thought it was markers. I was trying to figure out how she got a hold of them. I followed her into the playroom anticipating the walls being multi-colored and hoping magic eraser would work. Instead, I turned the corner and saw this:

FOOD COLORING. I don't know how she got it. I think some climbing was involved. She was VERY proud of her work. The food coloring was all over the computer screen. We got it off for the most part but  the white part of the monitor is still slightly pink. After we tackled the computer I got to looking around and she also had managed to open a CAN of POP and poured it out all over the floor.

Thankfully, Jadyn was not hurt when she sliced open the can. I'm not sure how she did it. I took some pictures of her hands because I wasn't sure anyone would believe me if I didn't. I promise you that the pictures really don't do it justice. It was so much brighter than it looks!

I love this girl. :)
