We are family

Last Wednesday was Loribelle's birthday! We had dessert over at Kyle and Megan's house and the kiddos had a great time playing! Here are few pictures of their adventures:

I tried to update on May 4th and the blogger wouldn't let me do it! So, I decided I was mad at it on May 5th and I'm trying again today; however, you should know that my opening line on May 4th was:
May the 4th be with you.

Ha ha ha. Okay, so I'm slap happy tonight...deal with it! My allergies went CRAZY last night and I haven't been able to breathe all day....maybe the lack of oxygen is getting to me!

It is crazy crazy crazy around here. Greg is wrapping up his last few weeks of his long-term sub job, I am fighting the craziness that is SENIORS and other students who have senioritis.   We are all ready for summer and I'm especially ready for all my extra time with my sweet baby Jadyn!
We haven't taken a ton of pictures lately, but here are a few:
I found a Star Wars Return of the Jedi shirt for Jadyn to wear! Greg was very excited!

Jadyn's Grandma Carmen got her this cutie jacket.

We had to bring the carseat inside for a few days. Jadyn thought it was the greatest toy ever!!

She seriously is the cutest thing in the world. :)

A few new pics

We bought a new camera for a couple of reasons: 1. To have better pictures of Jadyn (and other babies to come) and 2. For great pictures in Europe. WE are now desperately trying to learn how to use the camera. It has all these settings and just all kinds of things. Here are a few pictures we have snapped over the past few days! Enjoy!

My little 18mth old!

Jadyn celebrated her 18mth "birthday" on Thursday of last week. She had a special dinner and then a bowl of whipped cream for dessert. :) Oh, then she found an applesauce and decided that she needed it...

 
Saturday we went to the zoo. It was too crazy busy for super cute pictures, but she did ride the carousel for the first time and LOVED it. Make sure you watch her face in the pictures. You see she wasn't sure at first and then got more and more excited!

 

Sunday night Al, Lisa, Daniel, and Joey came over for dinner. They were super kind and brought their wagon so we got to take Jadyn out! She loved it! Here are a few pictures of her with the boys!

Easter

This should be called Spring Break Part II, but it rolls over into Easter, so I thought Easter was a more appropriate title :) When we left off I told you we were getting ready to do some fun things. We tried.

Friday: We got up and went to the zoo. We got to the zoo at 9:30 and headed back to Africa. At 9:45 black clouds were hanging overhead, so we decided that we should head back up to the main part of the zoo. Halfway across the bridge it started pouring. We all got soaked. So, we went home.

Friday afternoon: We decided to check out the fairy tale exhibit at Crown Center.... along with half of Kansas City.

Saturday: We had lunch with my Mom, then went to the mall. We went home after the mall so Jadyn could take her nap. Saturday night we went to my parents house for game night! It was fun.

Sunday: We went to church and then to lunch.

Sunday afternoon we went to my parents house for an Easter egg hunt and Easter dinner. We also ended up playing more games.

All in all we had a great time! I'm anxious to get back to the zoo. I'd like to see more of the animals not just the ones running for shelter.

Spring Break Part I

It is my Spring Break. I hate not having Spring break with Greg, BUT I love having our spring break after everyone else's spring break! Plus it has been BEAUTIFUL this week!

Jadyn and I have had a great time together.  Monday we did some things around the house including some switching around of her closet and clothes. I put away the winter stuff and got out her summer clothes to pull the tags off and wash things. Mom and I have done a pretty good job of getting her clothes for the next year each season during clearance sales.  Including swimming suits... she has 12 for this summer and not one of them cost over 3.00. (I realize 12 is a bit excessive...but your only 18mths once right?)

You might be wondering why there is a picture of a calculator on the web. Well THIS is the calculator that Jadyn threw into the toilet Monday morning! It's Greg's calculator and it is now in the trash can. She did manage to cover it well with the massive amounts of toilet paper she also put into the toilet. :)



Tuesday we ran down to Branson to do some shopping with my mom and some friends. Jadyn was soooo good on the trip it made me want to take her more often! She really was strangely good. Don't get me wrong she is a good girl, but she didn't cry even once in the car (3 hours each way) and she only got fussy while we were shopping when the sun was in her eyes!

Wednesday we stayed around the house again. I got the kitchen cleaned up (it was pretty bad after Greg's spring break and the play) and I did more laundry. Jadyn and I ran to Chick-fil-a for lunch that day. She loves their chicken.

 These are Jadyn's new shoes. They light up and she loves them. :) In fact she wouldn't take them off! They are too big right now so I had to hide them so she wouldn't want to wear them. Do you love her outfit :) 1/2 clothes, 1/2 jammies.

Daddy left his drill on the kitchen floor and Jadyn found it. Don't worry, the battery was dead so we were safe. She just liked to touch it. She doesn't feel well in this picture - see it in her eyes? She has allergies, but the doctors say she is too young.





 Today we got to have lunch with Greg because he had a half day. Then Alex (my nephew) came over to play for awhile. He was such a good boy today and we had so much fun! Tonight Jadyn and Greg when to Noah's 10th birthday party (if you know Noah you are probably having a heart attack right now that he is 10 years old).

We have big plans for tomorrow and the rest of the weekend, but I will save those for another post. Here are the pictures you've been waiting for :)

Words

I know, I know I'm supposed to post pictures on my blog. These past few weeks have been so crazy with the school play that I haven't had time to post any pictures of my sweet Jadyn. That doesn't mean I haven't been taking mental pictures of the memories we have made the past few weeks. Here are a few highlights:

1. Tuesday on my way back to school for play practice, Jadyn stood at the door and said "I love you." I started crying :) It was really hard to go to practice.

2. Tuesday after I picked Jadyn up from Joy and Sammy's house we got to play outside! It was awesome! She ran around the backyard and pointed at and said "sticks" and "leaves." She cried when we had to come back inside. My baby is just like her Mama...a tomboy at heart!

3. We taught her "ready...set...go" and she loves to jump while we play! We say ready, she says set, and we say go together. Then she giggles!

4. She says "eyes" when she wants me to sing "Be Careful Little Eyes What you See." I love that she loves that song.

5. Today, I was rocking her for her afternoon nap and I was singing some of our favorite songs. She tried to sing along. I loved it. Every minute of it.

Even though I wasn't able to take photos of these events, I was able to lock them away in my mental picture file. They are moments  I will treasure forever.
