My sweet girl

Sometimes being a parent is hard. I'm sure with 3 girls this will be come "Always, being a parent is hard" :)
I shared with you that Jadyn has been sick off and on but the hard part is I don't know what is wrong. She's very VERY articulate for a 3 (almost 4) year old, but there are some things she still doesn't understand or clarify well. Lately, the major problem has been school. I think her tummy issues are school issues. It's hard sometimes to remember that she has such a soft heart- and I think that is her issue!

She tells me things like the kids don't like her, the kids are mean to her, and things like that. I know this isn't true - most of the time. I suspect that if someone takes a toy from her she interprets it as they don't like her - she has a soft heart. I know she is grieving the fact that her good friends from last year are in Kindergarten this year and she misses them terribly. No one in school has filled that void yet. I'm sure it will come but it is H-A-R-D right now. I'm desperately wishing I could stay home with her!

She is CRAZY SPECIAL to me and the last thing on earth (like most good parents) I want is for her to be hurting, so if you have any thoughts or advice on how I can help my little one adjust please help!

When in Rome

I chuckled as I wrote the title to this blog as I have never been to Rome. I've been to England and through France to Paris, but that's it.

If you read my other blog www.thefranzybunch.blogspot.com then you know that 2 of my 3 girls have been sick in the last couple weeks. Because Jadyn's sickness was tummy related I didn't think I should leave her with the nanny so I took today off. I'm not going to lie I was super excited to stay home today with the girls. I miss our summer routine greatly. It was hard to go to school and we've had a hard time getting in a new routine. I know it will come but it was nice to escape the reality today and have a "good ol day." The only problem is that I've been miserable all day! I forgot to take my allergy medicine last night and have paid greatly for it today. I'm so bummed because I could have done so much today in addition to care for the girls - laundry, dishes, clean up, re-organize and all the other very needed things in our house. Instead I've been lugging around a Kleenex box and trying to relieve the pressure of my wonderful seasonal allergies!

Isn't that just how it always is? You think you may catch a break and then the other shoe drops? That's not entirely true in my situation because I did get to get the babies up and dressed today as well as feed and play with them all morning. We read lots and lots of books and I got to watch Jadyn read books to the girls too. Talk about making this book-lover Mama's heart happy! It's been a very very special sick day and that just almost makes me forgot that there is laundry to do and dishes and organizing and......

Well... hello!

I am reviving this blog as a spot for Mommy to share thoughts, stories, and not so many pictures. The Franzy Bunch is where you will find the pictures and updates of the girls.

I will be working on the look of the blog tomorrow because Jadyn is sick and I'm staying home.

Pictures from Fall

I recently when through our pictures and realized I hadn't done anything with Jadyn's pictures from the Spirit banquet at school. They are too cute to not post! :)

Her class sang about 4 songs on their own and then later they sang with the rest of our student body K-12 for the final song. She is looking at us in this picture. She was so excited!

Jadyn clapped after every song.

My sweet friend, Raylene, took pictures for us so we could just take in the moment. Raylene did an awesome job!

Dance recital

I know I've been a terrible blogger lately. I think it has something to do with being tired all the time from carrying twins. Man. When I get home from school everyday I'm ready for bed! I've been doing more and more dinners in the crock pot because I have the energy in the morning to get things together and then by dinner time, when I'm wiped, Greg can just scoop it out for us. Praise the Lord for an awesome husband!

Anyway, Jadyn's dance recital was about 2 weeks ago. She was so cute and did such a good job! We won't be doing dance this spring because of the babies coming and lack of energy from Mommy, but hopefully next fall we can do more dancing. She really seemed to enjoy it and you can clearly see in one of the pictures her ability to point her toes. This Mama is rather impressed :)

These are few of her fellow dancers. Their dance was to "The Wheels on the Bus" and it was a rather upbeat version :)

At some point they did some spinning around. Jadyn did hers nice and slow :)

This might be "Move on back?" I'm not sure...

There were a lot of people there, but Jadyn did well at staying focused - she just never found Mommy!

birthday girl

I can't believe she's 3.
I also can't believe that when she turns 4 she will have 2 younger siblings.
We had a wonderful 3rd birthday around here. We tried to take Jadyn to the zoo, but when we pulled in the parking lot she started crying and said "I want to go to the Disney store," so we did. :)
That night we had a birthday party  with lots of friends and family. She had so much fun and did a wonderful job opening presents and being excited!
We are so blessed to have her in our lives.

We brought Jadyn back a sleeping beauty jewelry box from Disney last summer and hid it until her birthday. She loves it!

We had cake balls instead of a big birthday cake.

This is her kitcen from Uncle Rod and Aunt Kathy. She loves it!

She calls Uncle Kyle a lot on her "phone" and invites him over for supper!

Presents!

So polite! She said thank you after every present. Made Mama proud!

We let the kids decorate pumpkins. Jadyn's is still on our front porch.

My sweet big birthday girl! She will always be Daddy's princess and Mommy's monkey! We love you  bunches!
