Daniel's Barf Vader Shirt

Okay Daniel, Here is the Barf Vader Shirt. I couldn't get a great shot because Jadyn only wants to hold the camera these days...not actually take pictures...but here is the best (and the worst) of the bunch!

Jadyn has pajamas that have a tutu with them. She is stinkin' cute when she wears them, but she doesn't always wear the tutu around her waist. This time she had it up around her shoulders so it looked like wings. The best part is that if you take the tutu off of her (thinking she doesn't want it on..) she gets super mad and tries to put it back on herself. That's my little Miss Independent!! :) 

Yes, her eyes are closed and Yes her hair is in her face BUT I almost got a smile without her freaking out about the camera. We were on our way to bed. 

 

She is digging for a cheerio in this one... Just thought I should clarify :) 

 

We had a yummy dinner the other night capped with some ice cream. I got brave and decided to give Jadyn her own scoop in her own bowl and let her feed herself. Here are the results... 

  

  

Things are still going well! Jadyn is an absolute blast to have around! We just love love love her!

Happy belated Valentine's day! We had a great valentine's weekend at our house! Thursday night Greg took us out for dessert at Cheesecake Factory. I have some super cute pictures of Jadyn eating whipped cream but they are on my phone and I have yet to figure out how to get them to regular computer, but if you are my facebook friend you can see them there.

Friday night Greg and I went out to celebrate his big job opportunity! You should ask him if you want the details but it is a good deal and will be a huge stepping stone to land a classroom next fall. Jadyn stayed with Aunt Kathy and they had a wonderful time (even though Uncle Rod ditched her... :0!!) 

Saturday night Jadyn spend the night at Nana and Papa's house (my parents). They had fun playing with her car (see my Mom's facebook) and her new kitchen. Super cute! Greg and I went shopping at the Legends and came home and watched a movie. We were so excited to be able to watch a movie without the closed captioning on after 8:00! However, I missed Jadyn very very much!

This is the only picture I got from Valentine's Day. Her sweater is pretty cute if I do say so myself!! 

Happy middle of February...winter is lasting FOREVER this year....

Greg's birthday

We had 3 parties for Greg's birthday (and he says I'm the spoiled one...). We went out with his Uncle Al and Aunt Lisa and the boys Daniel and Joey the night before Greg's birthday. We had a great time. Jadyn ate and ate and ate until we thought she might explode! I guess all this walking is making her super hungry!

Then the night of Greg's birthday we went to my parent's  house for the family party. We had so much fun! Lot's of laughing and playing. It is awesome to watch Jadyn and Alex and Carter all play together. I just love it!

The Sunday after Greg's birthday we went out to eat with our other family, The Dutt's, and with my Parents for my Mom and Greg's joint party (well that sounds kinda odd...there was no smoking of any kind). Afterward we went over to the Dutt's house for cake and ice cream!

It has been a looooooog time!

Wow! It has been a long time! I'm so sorry! We've been crazy busy around here...like many of you I'm sure. I have been taking lots of pictures of Jadyn but she now has this problem of shutting her eyes for the picture. It's grand fun let me tell you! I did manage a few to get up on the blog:

This is a funny picture for me because Jadyn has really bad bed hair...see on the left...and she has a starbucks cup...my favorite!

A few weeks ago we went to my parent's house on Sunday after church. We were supposed to be having an open house (no one came) so we needed some place to play. My Dad (Jadyn's Papa) was putting together some bigwheels for Alex and Carter, but Jadyn LOVED it! She wanted to help put it together and then LOVED riding it around. She was pushed most of the time but could go backwards on her own.

 

 

After she played for awhile she parked herself in the living room and just watched the rest of us. Here is a picture where she wouldn't look at me!

 Last Sunday I put her in this adorable heart dress. I'm trying to figure out a time now that I can have Valentines pictures taken of her in the dress! I just love it! Oh and check out her cutie pie hair!

So, that's really all that is new with us! We are ready for spring spring spring! 

Snow! Lots and lots of Snow!

We have had a ton of snow and I personally am SICK of it. I remember why I want so desperately to move to Florida or even better Hawaii. :)

We were able to take Jadyn out in the snow. We went last week sometime right before the last freezing blast  came through. It was kind of funny because I kept waiting for the warmest weather possible and I was watching the 4:00 news thinking I would take Jadyn out "tomorrow" only to hear Katie say "Today was the best day we will have in a long time for the kids to play outside." Greg was downstairs with Jadyn so I yelled for them to come up and we bundled up and went out! I wasn't sure what Jadyn would think of the snow, but she LOVED it. I see ski trips in our future!

 I told Greg to build a little snowman to take her picture by, but he decided an igloo would be better... so here is Jadyn and her igloo!

 

I thought she should "taste" the snow. Yes, I checked to make sure it wasn't yellow before she tried it.

Jadyn crawled over to the door so I thought she wanted to go back inside, but then she turned around, sat down and "rested"!

She is so stinking cute! I was afraid however, that she may lick the pole. Every time she moved I kept saying, "No" and she would look at me like I was crazy!

Well, there is our great snow adventure! Probably the last one for awhile because I am so ready for some warm air. I'm actually excited about the possibility of a 32 degree day next week, how sad is that!  

Graduation and Christmas

Well, I am now the proud wife of a college graduate! Greg graduated on Dec 12 and he did so with honors. I am so proud of him for sticking with it and working hard to earn great grades! I told him I want both of us to always be able to tell our kids that we did our best...even if we didn't want to!

Christmas was a lot of fun this year! Jadyn is old enough to rip open presents...although she loses her focus after about one gift. She was definitely more interested in playing with her cousins than opening presents, but she is loving playing with the loot she brought home! She is such a sweet girl! She opened a new tea set from my cousin Lori and she likes to pour the tea into the cup and then give it to her doll (from Kyle and Megan) to drink! It really is sweet!

We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house, thankfully, because there was a ton of snow Christmas Day! We had plans to go outside and play but the 20 degree temps have kept us inside! I really don't want a sick baby and playing in the snow just doesn't seem worth it! Anyway, we did come home Christmas night and did our little family Christmas! It was fun to do this for the first time and we look forward to the new tradition for many years to come. We were snowed in the day after Christmas and finally, with the help of some slightly higher temps, Greg was able to dig us out! I was desperately needing to hit some after Christmas sales! I'm glad we did because I was able to snag some cute stockings for our family for next year (hopefully we will be in a new house that has a fire place by then!).

We have totally enjoyed being home together and I am dreading my return to school! Oh well, I must teach the youngsters! Greg has applied for a long-term sub position in Lee's Summit so we are anxiously waiting for him to hear back on that! Otherwise, he will sub whenever he can and focus on getting a full-time job for next school year! Everyone keeps telling him he should have no problems getting a job...we are just super anxious for him to get a contract!

Well, I promise that I will get back to a once-a-week update so don't give up on me and keep checking back for new pictures of my sweet little baby girl!
