Crazy little girl!

Tuesday Little Miss Jadyn didn't feel like taking an afternoon nap. Aunt Kathy rocked Jadyn for 45 minutes until I got home from school and then I took over for another 20. I finally gave in and let her get up to play again thinking she would go back down. At one point during our attempt to get JAdyn down I tried just putting her in the crib to see if she would go to sleep on her own. She played for a few minutes and then I heard a drumming sound. I got up to see what was going on and she was playing a nice little rhythm on the crib :)


Later that night we got Jadyn ready for her bath. She loves sitting on top of Greg, in fact, she normally uses his head as her bongo drum!

I took some cutie pics of Jadyn in the bath tub but decided that I shouldn't paste them all over her blog :)

Wednesday is her day with Nana. She had fun playing and shopping all morning with Nana and then when Nana goes to be with Alex and Carter, Jadyn goes down for a nap. When Jadyn got up she was very happy! I took a few pictures of her playing...although she moves so fast now I don't always get the best shots!



I have wanted a particular hat for Jadyn from Children's Place for quite some time and it finally went on sale! Of course once it went on sale I couldn't find it in the stores...but I was successful online. It came the other day and we took come modeling pictures... I'm not sure why I wanted the hat so badly because she won't leave it on her head...but if I can get her to she will look SO CUTE!!


We are approaching Jadyn's first birthday, and I just want to thank the people who are actively involved in Jadyn's life! She is such a special girl and I am so thankful for the influence each one of you have. We are blessed to have a circle of close friends and family who support us through the good and the bad and who love us unconditionally!

Alex's birthday was on Labor Day and so was his party. We partied hard at Mom and Dad's house and it was a gorgeous day! The boys love the swimming pool and ended up getting in the freezing cold water, but I wouldn't let Jadyn get wet! Instead we took her over to the new swing set and let her go down the slide for the first time! Needless to say, she loved it! I, of course, snapped a ton of pictures...here are a few of my favorites!

Joy

Friday morning before school in our staff devotions we had a reminder from the book of Nehemiah that "The Joy of the Lord is my Strength". I've been trying to focus in on this verse during the "rough patches" of the school day. I also got to thinking about how much joy my family brings! Greg is such an amazing husband and God blessed us with a truly joyful daughter! I snapped several pictures over the past few days...nothing specific just a few candids. Enjoy :)

Greg mowed today (I know I know shocking...and I didn't even have to threaten him this time!!). Jadyn sat at the front door and watched him mow the front yard. After he was finished he took her for a ride back to the shed. She loves feeling the wind in her hair! Here are a few pictures that I took of them on the lawn mower:

In other blogging news: Jadyn pulled up in her crib for the first time. Saturday we were "fighting" over nap time and the third time I went in to calm her back down I opened the door and there she was...standing! I was so excited that of course I couldn't find the camera but got a picture on my phone. She has been pulling up all over the house but this was her first time in the crib. Later that night she found an open box of diapers and pulled herself up...then emptied the diapers all over the floor. She is just like her Daddy...messy messy marvin!

Play time

Ever since school started Greg I discovered that we both need a little "detox" time after our busy days. He enjoys playing playstation to relax and I like to get things done around the house while catching up on shows I didn't have time to watch. We also discovered that Jadyn loves to play on the couch downstairs (she's not allowed on the floor since the basement never got finished...). Greg figured out a way he can lay to block her on the couch so she can't fall off. She loves climbing back and forth and climbing all over Greg. This situation is perfect for us because Greg gets to play, Jadyn gets to play and I get to clean without my little helper (I mean Jadyn...not Greg).

Tonight I went downstairs to check on my loves and this is what I saw:

Jadyn had been playing hard crawling up and down the couch and then settled on Greg, curled up next to him, and went to sleep! How cute!

I just love my little family! I have the best husband and daughter I could have ever imagined!

Our last weekend of "summer"

Greg and I both start school this week :(. I started today and he starts student teaching on Thursday. We are both sad that we don't get to spend our days with Jadyn but are thankful for the people who are helping us out!

We had a busy last weekend of our summer! It began with Greg fixing the lawn mower. Jadyn wanted to watch her Daddy so I opened the door and she sat at the storm door and watched! Yes, she is wearing boy pajamas, but they were on sale so that's what I got!


Later that night we went out to eat for Uncle Ronnie's birthday. Jadyn wore a cute little outfit from her Nana with tulip capris...it was cool enough Saturday night to wear them :)

Jadyn also loves it when her Daddy tosses her in the air. Mommy is ONLY comfortable with Daddy tossing Jadyn. :)



Sunday we had teacher dedication at school/church so we were off our normal Sunday schedule. Usually we are rushing out the door to make it to our church but Yesterday we had some time to "play." Jadyn looked so cute that I took pictures of Jadyn and Daddy and then wanted pictures of Jadyn and Mommy!




Things are about to get crazy at the Franz house but we are excited to have a new school year underway! Pray for us with all our craziness!

Date Night with Daddy

Jadyn is 10 months old today! Wow! Where does the time go? Greg decided to take his two favorite ladies out to dinner in celebration of Jadyn's 10 months with us. We went to Cheesecake Factory. It was so much fun. Jadyn was a really good girl! She sat with Greg until our food came and then played in the high chair while we ate. The waitress brought us banana slices for her and she gobbled those right up! Jadyn even had some whipped cream for dessert :) Anyhoo...we know we are very blessed to have such a good little girl!

My sweet baby girl thinks that it is appropriate to put her feet on the table...so she made herself comfortable at the Cheesecake Factory! :) Oh and she is currently obsessed with her rubber ducky and won't go anywhere without it.

I love this picture. She just totally made herself comfortable while we were waiting on our food. This is how she was when the waitress asked if she needed some banana slices!
Notice that she is missing her bow. When she gets comfortable she pulls out her bows. It is grand fun :)
