Spring Break Part I

It is my Spring Break. I hate not having Spring break with Greg, BUT I love having our spring break after everyone else's spring break! Plus it has been BEAUTIFUL this week!

Jadyn and I have had a great time together.  Monday we did some things around the house including some switching around of her closet and clothes. I put away the winter stuff and got out her summer clothes to pull the tags off and wash things. Mom and I have done a pretty good job of getting her clothes for the next year each season during clearance sales.  Including swimming suits... she has 12 for this summer and not one of them cost over 3.00. (I realize 12 is a bit excessive...but your only 18mths once right?)

You might be wondering why there is a picture of a calculator on the web. Well THIS is the calculator that Jadyn threw into the toilet Monday morning! It's Greg's calculator and it is now in the trash can. She did manage to cover it well with the massive amounts of toilet paper she also put into the toilet. :)



Tuesday we ran down to Branson to do some shopping with my mom and some friends. Jadyn was soooo good on the trip it made me want to take her more often! She really was strangely good. Don't get me wrong she is a good girl, but she didn't cry even once in the car (3 hours each way) and she only got fussy while we were shopping when the sun was in her eyes!

Wednesday we stayed around the house again. I got the kitchen cleaned up (it was pretty bad after Greg's spring break and the play) and I did more laundry. Jadyn and I ran to Chick-fil-a for lunch that day. She loves their chicken.

 These are Jadyn's new shoes. They light up and she loves them. :) In fact she wouldn't take them off! They are too big right now so I had to hide them so she wouldn't want to wear them. Do you love her outfit :) 1/2 clothes, 1/2 jammies.

Daddy left his drill on the kitchen floor and Jadyn found it. Don't worry, the battery was dead so we were safe. She just liked to touch it. She doesn't feel well in this picture - see it in her eyes? She has allergies, but the doctors say she is too young.





 Today we got to have lunch with Greg because he had a half day. Then Alex (my nephew) came over to play for awhile. He was such a good boy today and we had so much fun! Tonight Jadyn and Greg when to Noah's 10th birthday party (if you know Noah you are probably having a heart attack right now that he is 10 years old).

We have big plans for tomorrow and the rest of the weekend, but I will save those for another post. Here are the pictures you've been waiting for :)

Words

I know, I know I'm supposed to post pictures on my blog. These past few weeks have been so crazy with the school play that I haven't had time to post any pictures of my sweet Jadyn. That doesn't mean I haven't been taking mental pictures of the memories we have made the past few weeks. Here are a few highlights:

1. Tuesday on my way back to school for play practice, Jadyn stood at the door and said "I love you." I started crying :) It was really hard to go to practice.

2. Tuesday after I picked Jadyn up from Joy and Sammy's house we got to play outside! It was awesome! She ran around the backyard and pointed at and said "sticks" and "leaves." She cried when we had to come back inside. My baby is just like her Mama...a tomboy at heart!

3. We taught her "ready...set...go" and she loves to jump while we play! We say ready, she says set, and we say go together. Then she giggles!

4. She says "eyes" when she wants me to sing "Be Careful Little Eyes What you See." I love that she loves that song.

5. Today, I was rocking her for her afternoon nap and I was singing some of our favorite songs. She tried to sing along. I loved it. Every minute of it.

Even though I wasn't able to take photos of these events, I was able to lock them away in my mental picture file. They are moments  I will treasure forever.

Shoes and Boxes

Well, what an adventurous little girl I have! This week she has discovered her new love for Mommy's shoes, her love for cardboard boxes, and we revisited her love for Coldstone Ice Cream :)

We went to Coldstone to celebrate Mommy's birthday...and to use a free coupon we received. Jadyn loves sweet cream with sprinkles:

She particularity loves my heels. Daddy is helping her walk with them in this picture.

Her grandma Carmen got her this cuite sweater! She wore it last weekend! I just love it!

She found the diaper box before we had a chance to throw it out and she loves playing in it! She likes to sit in it, but she also likes to put her "babies" in there and take them for a ride! She really is the cutest!!

My baby is getting big!!

Arizona

I love family! We had such a great visit with Greg's Grandpa and Grandma in Arizona over the last weekend! We got to see them for just a few short days and I easily could have stayed a week! What a blessing it is to have great people and Oh how Jadyn loves them!

Daniel's Barf Vader Shirt

Okay Daniel, Here is the Barf Vader Shirt. I couldn't get a great shot because Jadyn only wants to hold the camera these days...not actually take pictures...but here is the best (and the worst) of the bunch!

Jadyn has pajamas that have a tutu with them. She is stinkin' cute when she wears them, but she doesn't always wear the tutu around her waist. This time she had it up around her shoulders so it looked like wings. The best part is that if you take the tutu off of her (thinking she doesn't want it on..) she gets super mad and tries to put it back on herself. That's my little Miss Independent!! :) 

Yes, her eyes are closed and Yes her hair is in her face BUT I almost got a smile without her freaking out about the camera. We were on our way to bed. 

 

She is digging for a cheerio in this one... Just thought I should clarify :) 

 

We had a yummy dinner the other night capped with some ice cream. I got brave and decided to give Jadyn her own scoop in her own bowl and let her feed herself. Here are the results... 

  

  

Things are still going well! Jadyn is an absolute blast to have around! We just love love love her! 

Welllllll,

Happy belated Valentine's day! We had a great valentine's weekend at our house! Thursday night Greg took us out for dessert at Cheesecake Factory. I have some super cute pictures of Jadyn eating whipped cream but they are on my phone and I have yet to figure out how to get them to regular computer, but if you are my facebook friend you can see them there.

Friday night Greg and I went out to celebrate his big job opportunity! You should ask him if you want the details but it is a good deal and will be a huge stepping stone to land a classroom next fall. Jadyn stayed with Aunt Kathy and they had a wonderful time (even though Uncle Rod ditched her... :0!!) 

Saturday night Jadyn spend the night at Nana and Papa's house (my parents). They had fun playing with her car (see my Mom's facebook) and her new kitchen. Super cute! Greg and I went shopping at the Legends and came home and watched a movie. We were so excited to be able to watch a movie without the closed captioning on after 8:00! However, I missed Jadyn very very much!

Greg's birthday

We had 3 parties for Greg's birthday (and he says I'm the spoiled one...). We went out with his Uncle Al and Aunt Lisa and the boys Daniel and Joey the night before Greg's birthday. We had a great time. Jadyn ate and ate and ate until we thought she might explode! I guess all this walking is making her super hungry!

Then the night of Greg's birthday we went to my parent's  house for the family party. We had so much fun! Lot's of laughing and playing. It is awesome to watch Jadyn and Alex and Carter all play together. I just love it!

The Sunday after Greg's birthday we went out to eat with our other family, The Dutt's, and with my Parents for my Mom and Greg's joint party (well that sounds kinda odd...there was no smoking of any kind). Afterward we went over to the Dutt's house for cake and ice cream!
